Lash Extension FAQ
Why does a full set take 3 hours?
I take 3 hours for a full set to ensure that we have ample time for a thorough consultation and to craft a set of lashes that is uniquely tailored to you. During our consultation, we discuss your preferences, lifestyle, and any concerns to help determine the perfect look for your eyes. Each set is designed with precision, focusing on creating a customized style that enhances your natural beauty. This dedicated time allows me to apply each lash carefully and safely, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting result that is both beautiful and comfortable.
Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No, this is a common myth! When lash extensions are applied correctly, they do not damage your natural lashes. It’s essential to find a skilled artist who prioritizes lash health. I always make sure to apply extensions with the utmost care, using the right technique to ensure your natural lashes stay healthy and strong. Your lash health is my top priority, and I’ll always make sure to put it first!
How often do I need a fill-in?
On average, we lose 1-5 natural eyelashes per day, so it's recommended to get a fill-in every 2-3 weeks to maintain a full look. However, everyone's natural lash shedding cycle is different, so for your first fill, we suggest coming in at the 2-week mark. This gives us a better idea of how your lashes shed and helps us determine the best timing for future fills. Regular fills will keep your lashes looking fresh and beautiful!
Do lash extensions hurt?
Absolutely not! Lash extensions should never cause pain. If you experience discomfort, it's a sign that they were not applied properly. The proper technique involves applying one extension to each natural lash, which allows them to shed naturally without any discomfort. If you ever feel any pain or irritation, it's important to reach out so we can ensure everything is applied correctly and comfortably
Can I get my lashes wet after they’re done??
YES! It’s a myth that you can’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours. In fact, it’s recommended to wash them after your appointment to remove any lingering fumes from the adhesive. As long as your lashes are applied correctly, getting them wet will not affect retention. Just be gentle and avoid rubbing your lashes, and they’ll stay beautiful!
How often should I wash my lashes??
It’s recommended to wash your lashes every day! Since lash extensions are thicker than natural lashes, dirt, oil, and bacteria can build up more easily. Regularly washing them helps keep your lashes clean, prolongs their life, and ensures they last longer. A clean lash line also helps maintain the health of your natural lashes.
